My Name is Jonathan Kilian. I am 22 years old and currently I study Game Design and Management at the Fresenius Media School in Wiesbaden. Despite my subject being game design, in this portfolio I’ve collected some of the compositions of music that I have created for my own projects, as well as for group projects.
The software that I’ve used to create most of these compositions is Musescore.com | The world’s largest free sheet music catalog and community, version 3, and it’s free for a standard user like me. The other software I use for creating these music tracks is FL Studio 20, which also has an option for a free version.

In my life, I was always drawn to music, whether it was playing instruments or listening to the radio or CDs. I was playing the flute for a couple of years in my early childhood and even had piano lessons, but I was not interested in that. Instead, I was fascinated by the cello and decided to learn that instrument. About ten years later I joined the school’s orchestra in my highschool years and today I still play my cello occasionally. Then 2021 came around and I was trying out MuseScore for the first time to create music for a private game project, even before I started my studies. Over the next years, the program and its features grew on me and I even started learning FL Studio, which was completely different to what I was used to. It wasn’t easy, but I didn’t give up and eventually came to like the program, so much so that I only use FL Studio these days.
